The physical therapist thinks she'll be able to be discharged at home (no idea when, yet), instead of a nursing home. We also had our meeting with the palliative care nurse today about hospice options. It's good that we've have previously had these discussions about interventions and quality of life. The hospice people will contact us sometime tomorrow.
For now, everything is stable. Mom is in a regular room (not ICU), and overall is, in some ways, in better shape than her visit here at Dominican two years ago.
It is still too soon and too difficult for her to take phone calls or visits. But she knows everyone is rooting for her.
Thanks again everyone!
